RECTAL BLEEDING IS A VERY COMMON SYMPTOM. BLEEDING CAN BE BRIGHT RED WHICH CAN BE ON THE TISSUE, OR DRIP AFTER A BOWEL MOVEMENT, OR MIXED IN WITH YOUR STOOLS. THIS SYMPTOM, HOWEVER SHOULD NOT BE IGNORED. IT MAY SIGNIFY SOMETHING BENIGN SUCH AS AS HEMORRHOIDS OR WORSE SUCH AS COLON CANCER.

ONE OF THE MOST COMMON SYMPTOM FOR COLON CANCER IS RECTAL BLEEDING. DO NOT ASSUME THAT RECTAL BLEEDING IS FROM HEMORRHOIDS. I HAVE SEEN PATIENTS THAT COME IN FOR RECTAL BLEEDING WHERE THE PATIENT ASSUMED IT WAS FROM HEMORRHOIDS BUT AFTER CAREFUL EXAMINATION WAS FOUND TO HAVE COLON CANCER. IT IS IMPORTANT TO SEE A SPECIALIST WHO IS AWARE OF THESE SYMPTOMS AND IS ABLE TO DO A CAREFUL AND THROUGH EXAM AND TREAT THE CAUSE.. RECTAL BLEEDING IS NOT NORMAL AND TO KNOW THAT THE BLEEDING IS FROM A BENIGN SOURCE WILL GIVE YOU PEACE OF MIND
